Supply List

 

I am so excited to create with you! Below is a list of supplies you will need over the next several months to complete the courses I have planned for you. I have linked my favorite brands, but feel free to use whichever brand you prefer!

I use wooden panel boards and that is what I will demonstrate on. However, you can use canvas, watercolor paper, Bristol paper or Canvas paper. Get a few to practice on in sizes you like and feel comfortable with. Some great sizes are listed below.

-Four each: 12”x12” wooden panel board Or Acrylic paper same size

-Four each: 10”x10” wooden panel board or Acrylic paper, Bristol or watercolor paper.

-Four each: 8”x8” wooden panel board or Acrylic paper, Bristol or watercolor paper

-Four each: any size as long as they are all the same size, wooden panel board, or papers above.

-Gesso

-Gloss Medium (Mod Podge, or my favorite, Varathane Polyurethane (finish is personal preference. I like Semi-Gloss)

-Collage papers: tissue paper, napkins, prints of stamps or other designs, designs you make on paper and copy on computer, scrapbooking papers (we will make some of our own collage papers)

-Paper towels

-Paper plate or palette paper

-Water container

-Popsicle stick, plastic deli fork, chop stick, etc., for mark making

-Brushes: flat brush #10, #6 #2, Round brush #2

-Palette knife

 

-Nitrile gloves (optional)

-Toothbrush for spatter

-Hair dryer 

Paint Colors I'll be using. I recommend Nova Paints or Golden Brand, but you can certainly use decorative paints from the craft store, much cheaper but not artist quality.

-White

-Black

-Ultramarine Blue

-Cadmium Yellow light (optional)

-Cadmium yellow medium

-Cadmium Red medium

-Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold - Available in Golden brand only

-Quinacridone Magenta

-Fluorescent Orange

-Teal (optional)

-Yellow Ochre
